Introducing Maurice Harron
A Sculptor of Major Public Works
Maurice Harron has become over a sustained period one of the most successful producers of public works in Ireland. His international commissions include Grainne at the Heritage Green, Chicago and the Irish Famine sculpture in Massachusetts, USA. His portrait commissions include Seamus Heaney and Brian Friel, both sculpted from life.

Gaelic Chieftain, Co Roscommon
Emerging from the Shadows
This year Harron has decided to emerge from the world of monumental sculpture and enter the gallery sphere where smaller sculptures, many of them based directly on the large-scale landmark works, are now on offer for the first time to the private collector.

Hands Across the Divide, Derry

Irish Sculpture: Past & Future
With the record-breaking €190,000 paid for the recently-deceased Edward Delaney's King and Queen at auction in Dublin this autumn, interest in Irish sculpture is at an all-time high. It is with great pleasure, then, that the Stables Gallery presents to our clients the new work of a highly talented Northern Ireland sculptor with a very bright future.
